The person who initiated the date.  If you ask someone out, you're inviting them to an activity that you're offering to pay for.

My favorite car is a Monte Carlo.
I quit drinking caffeine because I was getting a lot of headaches and was worried about my blood pressure.

Corn bread stuffing.  If I wanted to eat mushy gravel with dirt and wheat mixed in, I'd live in the country and not wear shoes.
